The 4,900-square-foot Veterans Memorial Park is complete. The Veterans Memorial Park is on the west side of the Grant-Valkaria Town Hall, 1449 Valkaria Road, Grant-Valkaria, FL. The park is nestled underneath a beautiful heritage oak tree, along with a view of the front lake and fountain. The majestic tree will provide shade and solace for family members and veterans as they remember their loved ones and honor their brothers and sisters in arms.
The Memorial is ADA-compliant and includes two life-sized bronze statues of a male and female soldier, stacked-stone monuments that hold 4" x 8" laser-engraved commemorative Veteran bricks, and six military branch emblems displayed on a 4-foot concrete-block entrance wall. Two flagpoles fly the U.S. and POW/MIA flags. Concrete benches, a Battlefield Cross, a Bald Eagle statue, an Eternal Flame, and a K-9 Service Dog surround the monuments. Educational markers are placed within the ADA-compliant educational area.
